Each year I eagerly look forward to the “new” that comes with January.  And so this year I delight once again in making a list of my intentions, they are friendlier than resolutions and more agreeable to my nature.  And so with renewed inspiration, I am resolved to walk more freely into the greater grace of God toward all the joys and beauty of this new year.

  1. DRINK MORE WATER
  2. READ MORE BOOKS (nearly as vital as water)
  3. EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
  4. LESS SCREEN TIME
  5. MORE MINDFUL MOMENTS
  6. LAUGHTER AND SMILES; MORE OF BOTH (& hugs, never too many)
  7. MAKE ROOM FOR CREATIVITY
  8. MEMORIZE AND MEDITATE ON SCRIPTURE (one verse at a time)
  9. MOVE, SING, DANCE, MAKE LOVE (more of all of these)
  10. FIND THE DAY’S BEAUTY (and record it… make a list)
  11. GRATITUDE IS ESSENTIAL, GIVE THANKS
  12. ENCOURAGE AS WELL AS INSTRUCT (my children)
  13. LISTEN WITH MY EYES… NOT JUST MY EARS
