Read any Lewis lately?  Today, as part of their living education, my children and I are celebrating the life of C. S. Lewis!  Ideas include baking a cake and decorating it to look like the Wardrobe from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (a worthy book indeed).  Since it is his birthday, in honor of this esteemed author I would like to share with you a choice list of Lewis quotes from Escape to Reality, Top 20 C. S. Lewis Quotes by Paul Ellis.

Here’s one of my favorites from his list:

“Don’t use words too big for the subject. Don’t say “infinitely” when you mean “very”; otherwise you’ll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.”

I hope you enjoy this post from a very, “very” Worthy Blog over at Escape to Reality where Paul Ellis likes to plumb the depths of the “infinite” Grace of God.  Click on the link above.  It’s worth a visit.

I’ll leave you with this final quote from his list:

“Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.”
