Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8
I am grateful to be able to share the abundance and freedom found in God’s amazing grace and goodness with you here at Intentional Living. And I am always happy to discover and discuss worthy articles, authors, quotes, poetry, films, music, books and the beauty we find all around us in nature, art, architecture or interior design with this encouraging community of curious creatives using the above verse from Philippians 4:8 as our guide.
Intentionalism doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the result of thoughtful decisions and wise choices. An intentional life full of abundance, and blessing always includes healthy, happy, up-lifting relationships and experiences, as well as our relationship with God, family, friends and community, and doing things that make a positive difference in the world, not just watching, reading or hearing about what others have done. Around here we call this Intentional Living, or (especially when nurturing/raising children) a Living Education, and the basic curriculum is the freedom to explore God’s infinite grace and goodness, and to give ourselves permission to play in God’s big back yard, in the beauty of His creation, learn from the lives, wisdom and experience of others through living books, and meditate and dwell on the in-dwelling Living Word of God. The philosophy of Intentional Living, as well as the sort of learning found in a Living Education, is as much, or more, about the journey as it is the destination. Minimalism, simplicity, grace and gratitude, kindness, character, and creativity, knowledge, understanding, wisdom- these all take a more purposeful and personal approach to living and learning.
So we joyfully celebrate the gift of God’s grace and goodness, and learning to live loved. Always filtering everything through our grace informed vision and values centered around the Way, the Truth, and the Life we find in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; and the most perfect example of intentional living.
This blog is where I share my story about our journey toward Intentionalism, and a Living Education. I hope you find encouragement and inspiration here for your own journey toward your unique purpose and pathway to your contribution, creativity, and calling. Please join me and this caring creative community by subscribing! Thanks for reading; I’m glad we’re on this journey together!
